Developing SENCO leadership to maximise the impact of support staff in the classroom.

Description

This course will cover the following outline, what can we learn from the Deployment and Impact of Support Staff (DISS) report? Looking at the role of support staff, what is the Education Endowment Fund audit and why is it important to do one? How to develop your leadership skills to support change, including coaching skills and solution circles, samples of quality CPD for support staff, how support staff can promote pupil independence and using your audit to create your vision and define your priorities for positive action.

Outcomes

By the end of the course, delegates will:
  • have learnt how to maximise the effectiveness of support staff in the classroom
  • have learnt how to facilitate the development of support staff
  • have the tools available to review and reflect on the practice of your setting.
