Early Years Foundation Stage Network Meeting

Derbyshire EYFS School Networks

The EYFS School Network will meet three times a year (Summer, Autumn and Spring 2017-18) in seven localities. The networks will help EYFS teachers/support staff to keep up to date with local and national EYFS issues and good practice. There will be opportunities to share practice and meet/talk with other EYFS staff and be part of the Derbyshire family of EYFS practitioners.

Summer term networks will focus on maths in EYFS - come and recharge your mathematical teaching batteries with lots of practical strategies and a look at mastery in an EYFS context! Autumn term networks will look at Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Well-being. Spring term focus will be decided in light of emerging issues and feedback from network members.

By the end of the course, delegates will:
  • be inspired, enthused and be able to motivate networks of EYFS practitioners and make sure that they are up to date with best EYFS practice and confident to influence teaching and learning back in their schools.
